This was our first in-house wedding. We did the food (but of course!), the flowers, the photography, the table settings, and Tal was the official wedding coordinator. We asked Cake Monkey to do the beautiful cake that we added to our dessert table, and the bride designed the dress herself.

Lasagna Cupcakes Open Doors
We go to the Farmer’s Market in our van now, with a cart. We’ve given many vendors Lasagna Cupcakes so they know what we’re doing with their produce. Now they give us first dibs on some righteous produce. That’s me back there telling the fabulous Beata Bernina that Lasagna Cupcakes can be better than money in certain situations.

No Frozen Berries Allowed
This is our version of the very popular Sweet Lady Jane Berry Cake. We use (well, I use, who else is going to make dessert!) fresh (not frozen like….) Pudwell Farms Berries, Buttermilk Cake, a White Chocolate, Vanilla Bean Filling and a Marscarpone Cream Cheese Frosting. Purty Good. Especially with Peaches and Cream Fraiche Ice Cream.

So last night was the Hitched Event that was held over at Smog Shoppe and presented by the ladies of Bash, Please. It featured “snagged” wedding vendors for brides-to-be to get aquainted with. We did a few tray passes and a Whole Roasted Salmon with a Mixed Vegetable Potato Salad and Salsa Verde to give a taste of what can be in store for “the big day”.
